Just acquired a trio and a pair. Trio cock seems to be more desired/standard color and Pair cock is very light.

New to this breed and while not my primary focus I want to learn and breed carefully on a small scale.

Jim Looks like you have a pretty good start with the trio. I would not use the light cock though. I am not sure if I would use the hen in the pair , with the dark cock , but if you do watch her chicks real close. If she threw any light colored chicks I would cull her and her chicks. There is a good chance that she will carry a gene for the light color seeing as she came from the same place as the light cock. Rog

Hi, Just registered and confirmed here. How come when I click on the pics to get a larger one, I get an error message?

Sorry, you do not have permission to perform this action.

Am I doing something wrong or is it a system glitch?

Frank Not sure. It works for me. I have a 19" screen and the picture fills it. I`ll check your settings and see if that is it. This is all new for me. Rog

Thanks Rog,
Either you did something or the electrons like me better this morning, because now it clicks thru to the link and I see the whole thing. Frank (as for the "new" stuff? I get that, I'm webmaster for my pigeon club and it often drives me sort of crazier than I am naturally :-)

Nankins at Colonial Williamsburg. First four chicks hatched mid April, three more yesterday but no pictures. A few more due next week. I am going to try to insert/attach pictures but I don't know if it is working.
